FROM THE DESK

Dear members/Fellow Jaycees,

"The Pen is mightier than the Sword". During the last 3 years Jc Pravin Sabnis, Jc Savio D' Souza and Jc Willy Goes have made serious efforts to keep all the members informed of the activities being carried out by the Chapter. With the release of Issue 1 Volume IV of our monthly Newsletter "EXPOSE" this trend is being continued with the efforts of yours truly (Jc Sandeep Heble) together with the Editor Jc Abhijit Dalvi .

During the last year, on the 10th of March, Jc Pravin Sabnis took the lead in presenting an English Play "LUNCH", an experimental play which he performed with Miss Anjali D' Souza to packed audiences over 2 shows.

Speech- Craft, the premier training event was hosted by our chapter at Caritas Complex, St-Inez. Our members who participated in this overnight premier training program of Indian Junior Chamber were Jc Ashwini Khandolkar, Jc Premanand Saterdekar and yours truly.

We participated at the Regional Conference at Calangute with a delegation of 19 members. Our own member Jc Fredrick Tucker conducted a training program on Creative thinking.

Extension of a new Chapter should be amongst the priorities of every Chapter to carry the Jaycee movement forward. Our Chapter is trying to extend a new Chapter in the area of Santa Inez, Tiswadi with the lead being taken by our own members Jc Siddharth Sakhardande and yours truly under the guidance of Jc Pravin Sabnis and Jc Savio D' Souza. 2 orientations for prospective Jaycees in the area of St- Inez were held by Jc Prasad Bhat and Jc Pravin Sabnis.Demand draft of Rs 500/- was also handed over to the Zone President(2001) Jc Anthony Noronha along with all the neccessary forms for obtaining the name clearance. However, for reasons best known to him, Alto Betim were not allowed to extend the St- Inez Junior Chamber
