Friends,
Being a leader of a LOM is previlige few enjoy in a year and to be
the president of a new chapter like Alto Betim Junior Chamber is only
a dream one can hope in a life time.
This year has been momentus for us as a chapter and as Jaycees in
India. We successfully organised the 2nd All Goa Drawing Competition
for school children and more than 180 children participated.
Sponsoring the Circus show at Mapusa for the mentally challenged
children has also been a satisfying event for us.
Wwe as a chapter have been setting standards. Firstly the
registration of our chapter with the state government and various
programmes with the government agencies. Our theatre group
participated in the Konkani, Marathi and Tiatra Competitions in which
we won 4 prizes. An English Play 'LUNCH' was also staged by us in
Kala Academy.We participated with a strength of 19 members at the
Regional Conference at Calangute and secured 3rd place overall.
As a chapter with hardly two and a half years standing we have a
fantastic mix, from senior members like Jc HGF Fredick Tucker, Jc HGF
Joaquim Alavares who have made an impact on Indian Junior Chamber for
quite a number of years to Jc Pravin Sabnis the new 'Prime' star in
training. We also have number of members who have made their presence
at the Zone XI - Jc Ashwini Khandolkar, Jc Premanand Saterdekar and your truly all sucessfull Speechcraft graduates.
The I team possess is one, which will be the envy of any chapter in
India. We are sure to set more benchmarks before the calender year is over.
